NimblePros was founded in 2008 by a
group of professionals dedicated to developing great technological
solutions that meet the needs of our clients. We serve large
enterprises as well as small startups, offering our cross domain
expertise in solving problems, in a cost effective and timely
manner.
Our Philosophy
At the center of our philosophy is our clients goals combined
with our core values of integrity, honesty, and a level of service
second to none. We are continuously learning and innovating to keep
abreast of the latest technologies - finding solutions that add
value to your business. Our team members usually participate in
several beta and early release programs from Microsoft and other
prominent technology partners thus enabling us to be ahead of the
technological curve. This helps us translate these innovations into
your competitive advantage.
Our Experience
The NimblePros team is led by two developer entrepreneurs that
combined have over 20 years experience. They follow tightly to an
agile
process that holds fast to the Agile Manifesto's top priority: Satisfy
the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable
software.
Our Team
Michelle Smith
Managing Director
Dr. Michelle Smith is passionate about customers. With
over a decade of management experience, Michelle served as CEO of
Lake Quincy Media (http://lakequincy.com) before
becoming Managing Director of NimblePros. She joined
NimblePros because it offered the opportunity to provide not only
excellent software development, but a better overall customer
experience in the world of consulting. Michelle graduated
from The Ohio State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine,
and she remains a practicing veterinarian in the state of Ohio.

Steve Smith
Founder
Steve Smith is a Microsoft Regional Director, Microsoft ASP.NET
MVP, ASPInsider, and frequent
user group and conference speaker. He is a U.S. Army veteran (Iraq
2004 - honorably discharged in 2005 as a Captain). He has over 10
years of experience with Microsoft software development and his
consulting clients have included Progressive Insurance and The
Limited, as well as many smaller companies. Steve has written or
contributed to several books on ASP.NET. Steve's blog covers a variety
of software development topics, especially web development and
performance techniques. Steve and NimblePros are recognized experts
in Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Development, XP, Scrum and
more. Steve has an MBA from Kent State University and a BS in
Computer Science Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Brendan Enrick
Lead Software Developer | Mentor
Brendan has been a Microsoft MVP since January 2009 specializing
in agile ASP.NET software development using good, clean
architectures and software design principles. He influences the
software development community through his membership in the ASP
Insiders and Silverlight Insiders groups.
Brendan's
blog focuses on agile software development and test driven
development using ASP.NET and C# and covers a variety of other
topics of interest to software developers.
Craig Palenshus
Creative Director | Umbraco Level One Certified Developer
Craig Palenshus has worked in the advertising industry for over
15 years and has specialized in UI design for the Web for the last
five. He joined NimblePros to provide creative direction and design
to ensure that everything developed by NimblePros looks as great as
it functions.
Kevin Kuebler
Lead Software Developer | Mentor
Kevin has been developing software for clients large and small
(and some just for fun) for over 15 years. He specializes in agile
development on the .NET platform, utilizing Test Driven
Development and SOLID design principles. Kevin is also
involved in the software development community, frequently
participating in and speaking at local user groups.
Todd Ropog
Lead Software Developer | Mentor
Todd has delievered successful enterprise and commercial
software solutions in a variety of industries, including Financial,
Manufacturing, Retail and Education. For several years he has been
a team lead and mentor, and in recent years has begun introducing
teams to Agile concepts and practices. He recently joined
NimblePros because of their dedication to Agile principles and
values.
Scott DePouw
Software Developer
Scott is a developer whose primary focus is web development. He
is a proponent of Test-Driven Development, pair programming, and
SOLID principles. His main focus is on .NET technologies, but he
also has a keen interest in web-based languages like PHP.
Caitlin Steinert
Designer
Caitlin began designing websites as a hobby, which quickly
turned into a passion, and has since become her profession. She
enjoys not only the creativity involved in designing attractive
apps and websites, but also the challenge of turning those designs
into fully functioning products. She joined the NimblePros team in
2009 as a Design Intern and has since accepted a full-time position
as Designer. Caitlin earned a BS in Interactive Multimedia from
Ohio University's School of Visual Communications.
Chris Wagner
Software Developer
Chris joined NimblePros in 2009 as an intern and has since
become a full-time member of the team. He believes that
well-written code is beautiful, and seeks to continue to improve
his knowledge and experience so that each one of his projects
is better than the last.
Thomas Mullaly
Software Developer
Thomas is a software developer who has just recently finished up
his BS in Computer Science at Kent State University. Before joining
the NimblePros team his primary focus was developing for an open
source project called Wine, where he programmed in C. Since
joining NimblePros his primary focus has shifted towards web
development and the .NET Framework, although he is still a regular
contributor to the Wine project.
